Bar & Restaurant
The hotel boasts a spacious, traditionally decorated bar lounge where residents can relax with a drink before or after their evening meal. Our resident pianists play in the bar on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Also, come and meet Laurel and Hardy.....well perhaps not in the flesh, but full lifesize replicas, and plenty of little bits of memorabilia which have added to our collection over the years.
Full English breakfasts and evening meals are served in the traditionally furnished and spacious dining room. Special diets can be catered for, with prior arrangement. The hotel is now completely non-smoking inside - designated smoking areas can be found to the front and rear of the building.
In December 2009 the reception, bar and lounges were given a much needed facelift, with new seating and soft furnishings, and a lick of paint all round (which included the proprieter, managers, housekeeping staff and chefs all contributing to the painting, decorating and cleaning up afterwards!). We will post new photos as soon as we can. The front of the hotel has also had some attention and the white paintwork really gleams in the bright Yorkshire sunshine!
